Graduate

Welcome

At the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour (PNB), we offer students strong and diverse research programs and our Research and Clinical Training stream. The breadth of our research areas provides a rich academic environment and hand-ons research opportunities for our trainees.

PNB Graduate Studies introduces students to the issues and questions in the field of experimental psychology, and trains them on the theoretical basis and research approaches used to study psychological questions. We have 30 core faculty, several associate faculty members from across campus and over 100 graduate students. Our graduate program is strongly research-oriented and provides flexibility to optimize your program around your research interests. Our strong collegial environment supports scientific interactions among faculty and students, and fosters interdisciplinary work, with students often undertaking research projects with more than one faculty member.

Prospective, incoming and current graduate students will find the PNB Graduate Student Handbook a useful collection of information about Hamilton, McMaster and the PNB graduate program. It includes the facts about application procedures, program requirements, courses and much more. If you’d like to learn more about the program, explore our site and don’t hesitate to contact us with your questions.
