Undergrad TA Opportunities

The Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour offers several undergraduate teaching assistant (TA) opportunities. These paid positions provide undergraduate students a chance to be part of the teaching team for some of their favourite courses.

If you are interested in applying, please review the information below carefully. Different courses will have different application requirements, processes, and deadlines.

Courses: Psych 1X03 and Psych 1XX3

Application Window: February 9th, 2026 to February 23rd, 2026. This application is for those wishing to teach during the 2026/2027 academic year.

Requirements:

The application will require you to fill in some basic information about yourself and how we can contact you. You will also need to upload PDF copies of your cover letter, C.V./resume, and unofficial transcript.

Applicants are required to have taken both Psych 1X03 and Psych 1XX3 (or equivalents like Psych 1F03 and 1FF3) and be entering at least their 3rd year of study, but not graduated, as of September 2026. You must also have completed a minimum of three psychology courses (PNB, Psych, Human Behaviour, or Neuroscience) beyond the introductory level, and hold a minimum grade point average of 10 (A-) in those courses.

The Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour is currently accepting applications for the Fall/Winter 2026-2027

Course Codes: PNB 2XD3 (Fall Term) and 3XD3 (Winter Trem). Successful candidates will be hired for both courses.

Requirements:

The application will require you to fill in some basic information about yourself and how we can contact you. You will also need to upload PDF copies of your cover letter, C.V./resume, and unofficial transcript.

Applicants are required to have taken both Psych 1X03 and Psych 1XX3 and be entering at least their 3rd year of study as of September 2026. You must hold a minimum grade of 11 (A) or higher in both 2XD3 and 3XD3.

You must also have completed a minimum of three psychology courses (PNB, Psych, Human Behaviour, or Neuroscience) beyond the introductory level, and hold a minimum grade point average of 10 (A-) in those courses. If you are currently registered in the course that you wish to apply to, please include your current GPA in that course in your cover letter.

Requirements:

If you are currently registered in the course that you wish to apply to, please include your current GPA in that course in your cover letter.

Please note that students that have completed their degree requirements are not eligible to apply and only students selected for an interview will be contacted.
