Each course requires an A2L course shell. Course shells should be activated for each course, at the latest, one week prior to the beginning of the semester. Once the course shell request has been granted (a process which can take up to three days), the course shell will be automatically populated with the class list of all currently registered students.? Avenue to Learn is used to communicate with students, provide students access to course outlines, assignments, grades, etc. It allows students a means to communicate with each other, submit assignments, complete surveys, etc. The platform also allows for the development and implementation of online quizzes and the insertion of video recorded lectures. Echo 360
Echo 360 is a complete video recording, hosting, and delivery platform available for free to the McMaster community. It can be integrated into Avenue to Learn or it can be used as a standalone tool. It is a powerful tool to improve student learning before, during, and after class.
