As you prepare for the upcoming registration period, please take note of the following specific instructions regarding PNB 4D09 and PNB 4D06. To ensure your enrollment goes smoothly, please keep these five points in mind:
- The “A” Portion Only: When registering, you will only be able to select the A portion of the course. Once you have successfully registered for the A portion, the system will automatically register you for portion B. You do not need to add portion B manually.
- Course Conflicts: If you intend to take another course that conflicts with PNB 4D09 or PNB 4D06, you must complete a Course Conflict Form through your home faculty office. Please note that conflict forms are not handled by the PNB office.
- BA‑PNB students do not use a conflict form. Instead, the Faculty of Social Sciences requires emails from both instructors to be sent to socscfac@mcmaster.ca.
- Accidental Drops: If you register for PNB 4D09/4D06 and accidentally drop the course, you will lose your enrollment permissions. To have them reinstated, please email pnb@mcmaster.ca.
- There’s no need to worry, this is a permission-based course and will not fill up. Students can be re-added up until the September add/drop deadline.
- Credit Distribution: Typically, PNB 4D06 appears as 3 credits per term, while PNB 4D09 appears as 4.5 credits per term. Please keep this in mind when selecting your courses.
- General Enrollment Issues: For any other PNB enrollment concerns, please consult our website for detailed guidance: Academic Advising – Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour.
