Co-op

Co-op Applications open on November 21 and close on January16. We want to ensure all second year students are aware of this so we areholding several co-op information sessions and I have attached a poster, alongwith the November edition of SciScoop.

I would also like to share the link to our Co-op Ambassadors so you have it handy to sharewith students and faculty.

Advancing Tomorrow’s Actuaries.

This is an exciting new collaboration with The CooperatorsInsurance company. Eight AFM co-op students have been accepted onto the programand are guaranteed their first work-term with the Cooperators.

The idea of the program is to work together to ensure studentsare well prepared for success on their co-op. Students are taking additionalcourses on LinkedIn Learning are enjoying mentorship and are takingcommunications training also. Companies would be hard-pressed to find betterprepared and more enthusiastic students’, says Dr Anas Abdullah, AssistantProfessor and Coordinator, Mathematics and Statistics.
