First Fall Meeting will be September 20th at 9:30am

The wait is finally over!  We will be hosting the EdCog journal club biweekly on Wednesdays @ 9:30am (EST) via ZOOM. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 20th at 9:30am.If you would like to join our mailing list to receive biweekly reminders, visit our website https://edcog.pnb.mcmaster.ca/journal-club/ and join our mailing list.

Email reminders will be sent out on Mondays before each meeting with details about the articles and a link to join in the discussion. The fall session will run from September 20th – November 29th.

The fall series will guide you through some key historically relevant concepts as well as some new studies that validate practices currently being used in the classroom. Core theories from the field of cognition and education will be discussed as a framework in which to assess teaching practices.

To enhance and diversify our discussions, we welcome all backgrounds and levels of knowledge to join in the conversation. By the end of the fall chat series, you will leave with a greater understanding of the field that will challenge the way you perceive teaching and learning.  With this knowledge you can better understand your personal learning journey, as well as build better knowledge translation within your courses.
