Dr. Gillian England-Mason is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Calgary. She is supported by fellowships provided by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Alberta Innovates. Dr. England-Mason completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at McMaster University in 2018 and then began working with the Alberta Pregnancy Outcomes and Nutrition (APrON) study team at the University of Calgary. Her innovative and transdisciplinary program of research examines the effects of the prenatal and early childhood environment on neurodevelopment. Dr. England-Mason’s recent focus has been on investigating the effects of early exposure to environmental chemicals on children’s neurodevelopment and epigenetic profiles. She was recently awarded an Innovation Award through Innovate Calgary for her work on epigenetics. She has first-authored book chapters on important topics in child development included in the Handbook of Clinical Child Psychology and third edition of the Handbook of Emotion Regulation.
